Ceremony kicks off at 2:00 PM sharp-ish
Arrive around 1:00 PM to grab a drink, make your way down to the beach, find a seat, and chat with your neighbors.
Everything—ceremony, celebration, awkward mingling—will be at the Airbnb we rented.
7113 S Scenic Dr, New Era, MI 49446
There’s space in the driveway and yard. But if you can carpool, you’ll win our undying affection and maybe a better parking spot (no promises).
Attire is semi-formal—a little fancier than cocktail, a little looser than formal. Dress to be comfortable in the summer heat, but also ready for things to cool down in the evening, especially by the lake. Shoe-wise, this is an outdoor wedding on grass, so heels might sink. Flats, wedges, or danceable shoes are your friends. Steve and Julia will be barefoot.
This is August. It will likely be warm. Perhaps even sweaty. But it cools off a lot as you get close to Lake Michigan, so be ready for anything.
All events are outdoors, but we’ve got a tent for dining and mingling, plus some indoor space for cooling off, hiding, or pretending you didn’t cry during the ceremony.
Book a place ASAP! Things fill up fast in West Michigan. Some places you might want to check are Airbnbs near the house (7113 S Scenic Dr, New Era, MI), or hotels in Whitehall, Muskegon, or Ludington. Get a place as close to our house as you can!
1:00 PM – Guests arrive, hug, gasp at each other’s outfits
